After completing a PhD in Natural Sciences at ETH Zurich with a strong focus on software development, Simon Alioth began his career as a software engineer at Avaloq before joining Synpulse, where he has spent over 16 years driving technology innovation in wealth management. As Managing Director of Synpulse8, he leads the Swiss organisation and its banking and wealth management product portfolio — including the firm's enterprise-grade agentic AI platform — and drives technology advisory services with a strong focus on connectivity, integration and open finance.
Simon co-founded the OpenWealth Association and serves as its Vice President. What started as an idea he developed together with a client has grown into an industry-driven API standard enabling interoperability across custodians, portfolio management systems and client platforms. Today, he and his team at Synpulse orchestrate the OpenWealth community and are pioneering the OpenWealth Model Context Protocol (MCP) as a governed, auditable and permissioned tool layer for agentic use cases in wealth management.
