Since joining the Financial Services Agency of Japan in 2018, Takaya Sugino has gained experience in supervisory planning for regional financial institutions and market analysis. After earning an MBA from Northwestern University in 2023, he spent 2 years in Georgetown University, conducting research on blockchain technology and decentralized finance governance. He is currently working in the Fintech Innovation Office, where he is broadly engaged in research and policy planning related to AI, blockchain, and cybersecurity.
