Executive Director of Incubation & Venture Capital Investment at Qatar Development Bank (QDB), where he leads a QAR 1 billion targeted venture capital and strategic investment platform spanning fund investments, direct venture capital investments, and private equity opportunities.
In addition to overseeing the platform’s investment strategy, portfolio management, and capital deployment activities, Mohammed leads several of Qatar’s flagship innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives, including the Qatar FinTech Hub, the Creative & Cultural Industries Hub, and QDB’s Incubation & Acceleration ecosystem. Through these platforms, he plays a key role in advancing Qatar’s innovation economy and private-sector development agenda.
Mohammed has led the development of major national initiatives, including the Qatar Venture Capital Strategy and the establishment of Qatar’s first private venture capital investment management platform. He also contributes to national economic and financial sector policy development through the Third National Development Strategy (NDS-3) and the Third Financial Sector Strategy (3FSS).
Prior to QDB, he held roles with Shell and QatarEnergy LNG (formerly Qatargas). He currently serves on the boards and investment committees of several portfolio companies and investment vehicles. Mohammed holds an MBA in Global Finance & Banking, an LL.M. in International Law & Foreign Affairs, and a B.A. in Accounting & Finance, and has completed executive education programs at Harvard Business School, London Business School, and the University of Oxford.
