Stuart McClymont

Stuart McClymont is a financial services executive and industry thought leader with over 30 years of experience across investment banking, market infrastructure, and business transformation. Having spent more than two decades at leading institutions including Merrill Lynch and Deutsche Bank, he has worked across OTC derivatives, fixed income, commodities, FX, securities, operations, and technology.

Throughout his career, Stuart has led major industry initiatives to design and implement market infrastructure, drive innovation, and deliver large-scale transformation programmes across the financial services sector. He co-founded base60 Consulting, which was subsequently acquired by JDX Group and later became part of Delta Capita, where he led the Market Infrastructure and Payments Consulting business.

Today, Stuart is Co-Founder of reifi Consulting, a firm dedicated to helping the industry transform ambitious ideas into practical reality. Drawing on the meaning of reifi (“to make the abstract real”), he works with banks, financial market infrastructures (FMIs), fintechs, and industry consortiums to align stakeholders, build consensus, and deliver tangible outcomes. He is currently leading major industry engagements across digital assets, payments, settlements, and digital market infrastructure transformation, helping clients move beyond vision and strategy to real-world implementation and market adoption.
