Lawrence Calcano is the Chairman and CEO of iCapital. Since 2013, he has led the strategic vision and transformed the growth strategy, establishing iCapital as a leading global financial technology company shaping the future of global investing for financial advisors, wealth managers, asset managers, and other industry participants. Under Mr. Calcano’s leadership, iCapital now services more than $1 trillion in client assets on its platform across more than 2,100 funds and supports 118,000 financial professionals.
His vision and thought leadership continue to shape the industry, earning recognition as one of The World’s Most Influential Decision Makers by The Wall Street Journal (2024), the 2024 MMI Industry Leader, a 2023 ThinkAdvisor Luminaries honoree, and a three-time member of InvestmentNews’ Hot List.
Prior to joining iCapital, Lawrence was a Partner and Managing Director at Goldman Sachs, where he co-led the Global Technology Banking Group and advised on technology financing, M&A, and merchant banking for internet, digital, e-commerce, software, services, and hardware clients. He began his career at Morgan Stanley. Lawrence also serves as a long-time board member of Vibrant Emotional Health. He holds a BA from Holy Cross and an MBA from Dartmouth’s Tuck School, where he graduated as a Tuck Scholar.
