Sophie Claessens is a Director in Amazon’s EU Public Policy team, based in Brussels. Since joining Amazon in 2018, she is leading Amazon's EU institutional and government engagement, advocating on fiscal, customs, trade, and payments policy matters across the EU.
Before Amazon, she spent over 18 years as an indirect tax and legal advisor at PwC, specializing in telecoms, retail, e-commerce, and digital industries. She holds a Master in Law and an Executive Master in Tax Law.
