Digital identity is increasingly becoming the cornerstone of digital trust and digital security in our increasingly complex world. This workshop explores the critical role of digital identities in shaping the future of technology, looking at two key paradigms.

First, it will show how decentralized digital identity solutions, including advances in electronic identification (E-ID), give users more privacy and control over their personal data, which is critical for secure interactions in decentralised environments.

Second, it discusses how digital identities are becoming the new security parameter in enterprise centralized environments, enabling robust access control, authentication and authorisation mechanisms.

Although the boundaries between these two paradigms are very fluid in reality, the contribution emphasizes the importance of digital identity for the technologies of the coming years.
