Jonathan Jachym is Global Head of Policy and Market Structure at Payward. He leads Payward’s engagement with government, regulatory and industry stakeholders to develop effective policy approaches for digital asset markets while advancing Payward’s mission and business goals.
Prior to joining Payward, Jonathan spent over a decade in regulatory strategy and government relations roles at the London Stock Exchange Group and CME Group, based in Washington and London. He previously served as legal and regulatory counsel at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Jonathan earned his BS from North Carolina State University and his JD from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law.

Payments is where crypto either earns its place in the real economy or doesn't. Stablecoins now move meaningful volume, but most everyday users still can't navigate wallet addresses, and most regulators are still working out how to supervise a payment instrument that settles on public infrastructure. The gap between “technically possible” and “actually used at scale” is the most interesting policy and product problem in the space right now.
